Wetlands Construction

To compliment our work with stream restoration, riparian areas and urban water quality systems, EcoGro values the role of wetlands. Most of our natural wetlands have been drained, dredged, covered or otherwise removed from the landscape. However, wetlands play a significant role for both water quality and aquatic life. These areas offer critical habitat to amphibians and a drinking water supply for other wildlife. In addition to biological services, wetlands provide conditions for natural chemical and physical process that can remove sediments, nutrients and other pollutants from water.

EcoGro works to restore the vital role wetlands serve. Our knowledge of aquatic processes, wetland plants, wildlife habitat, and construction techniques offer insights into achieving your project’s goals.
