Ecological Stewardship

Although it can take just a few minutes to sow seed on even a very large site, it may take years before a plant community becomes fully established and self-sufficient. The first three to five years of planting are fundamental to a site's success. Many native plants can be slower to grow than more familiar cultivated plants, hybrids and invasive weeds. A successful planting will result from a continuing stewardship program. Many contractors or clients would consider a project finished when the last seed is sown. We see this stage as only the beginning.
